ScenePeek is built with full respect for user privacy in mind and it does not collect any personal information or user data.
Crash Reporting
The app uses Sentry.io exclusively for crash reporting and error monitoring. Sentry.io receives only anonymized data that cannot identify individual users. This includes:
- Technical crash reports containing device information and error details
- Performance metrics related to application stability
- Stack traces and debugging information
This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs and improve application stability. No personal identifying information is transmitted to Sentry.io.
TheMovieDB API Usage
ScenePeek uses the TheMovieDB (TMDB) API as a core service to provide movie and TV show information. Users should be aware that:
- ScenePeek retrieves and displays content (including but not limited to movie information, images, ratings, and descriptions) from TheMovieDB’s database
- All TMDB content is subject to TheMovieDB’s own terms of service and privacy policy

Seerr
ScenePeek can connect to your self-hosted seerr server to manage your seerr instance. When connected, ScenePeek saves your credentials or access tokens securely on your device, encrypted and protected in your device’s secure storage.
It is strongly recommended that you host the server on your own local hardware to fully protect your data. If you prefer to host your Seerr server on the internet, you are subject to the privacy policy of your hosting provider. Please make sure that you connect to your Seerr server only via HTTPS or a local network.
